Thirsties Duo Fab Fitteds

First, I would like to send a HUGE thank you and shout out to Stephanie at Abby's Lane for sponsoring my beginning blog. Aside from the huge selection of products she offers, the customer service there is out of this world!  I love that she offers weekly newsletters with super helpful advice, updates, new products, and coupon codes.  It gets even better with her free shipping on all US orders!!

The Thirsties Duo Fab Fitted comes in 2 sizes.

For my review, I used a size One, rated for 6-18 lbs with aplix closure.  The Size Two fits 18-40 lbs. They come in 6 different colors Honeydew, meadow, mango, ocean, orchid,  and white.
Some of the other features it offers is a sleeve design for easy stuffing, better washing and quicker drying.
Gentle Elastic around the waist and legs to give super protection against leaks
They come in a choice of either snaps or aplix closure.
It also grows with baby so you only need two sizes for birth to potty training.
Pairs well with the Thirsties Duo Wrap for a truly leakproof system.

I first noticed how soft this diaper is.  Velvety does not even describe it!  I could not stop touching it.  I was skeptical about putting this on Abby for nighttime, but dove right into the ultimate test.  She leaks out of everything at night.  I wrapped the Thirsties fitted on her on the first setting, and noticed a slim profile, not the bulk I would have expected and covered it with a Thirsties Duo Wrap, set on the second setting to allow for full covering of the rise. When she woke up after 6 hours of straight sleep, I expected her to be soaked.  SHE WAS DRY!!  She had not leaked out of the diaper, and her skin was dry, thanks to the stay dry liner.

The next test was the car seat test.  I cannot keep her in anything with less than 2 gussets in the car seat, or she will leak out before I even get the buckles snapped!  I paired the fitted again with a Thirsties Duo Wrap.  After an hour long drive to our destination, I pulled her out of the car seat, again, fully expecting her to be wet around the leg casings where all other pockets fail.  I felt, and felt, and felt.  Nothing but dry!

Back in Business!

As we of small children know, if it can go wrong, it will!

Right after I started this blog, my DD decided I was not to have a computer anymore and somehow destroyed my hard drive.  I, being the procrastinator that I am, did not have ANY backup or restore devices for it, so I had to wait for everything to be shipped.

During my "unplugged" week, I had some revelations.  I spent way to much time online.  I was observing my house-hold from over my computer lid, and did not even realize it.  On my "borrowed" computer time, I deleted accounts, unsubscribed from mailing lists, deleted Facebook games, and cleared about 950 strangers from my social networking account.  I feel cleansed!

That being said, I am slightly amused that over half my Facebook feed is now diaper related, and I love it!

Now, time for some reviews!

In the Beginning

Who would have known what that trip down CO-119 would have brought?

My husband reluctantly agreed to donate his Fathers Day to attend our first Cloth 101 class at Bundle Baby Shop in Boulder Colorado.  Little did he know what he was agreeing to!

4 weeks away from my Due date with baby number 4, I sat in the little showroom completely confused about what all options there were, Julie and Amanda went over each option, complete with demo.  I still left confused, but ready to embark on the cloth journey.  2 weeks later, Madison was born.  A mere 5 lbs 15 oz, all I was able to get on her were Bummies super brites and  infant prefolds.

And so my obsession began...
